What is a Financial Security Advisor?
A Financial Security Advisor is a provincially licensed professional who helps individuals and families protect their income, organize their savings and investment accounts, and plan their retirement — with life insurance and registered accounts like the TFSA, RRSP, RESP and FHSA, built around each family’s own situation.
They’re not an insurance salesperson: they first analyze the family’s full picture (income, debts, goals, the people who depend on them) and only then recommend what protects it best. In Canada, most work independently, often supported by an agency like WFG (World Financial Group), which offers training, mentorship and access to more than 70 companies to compare without pressure.
